About us
Hasvåg Fritid AS is owned by the hosts Åge and Birgit.
The building was used as a rural school until 1997 and stood empty until 2002. We have rented out the ”teacher’s residence” with its own entrance behind the house since 2002. The apartment is large (100 m²) and has therefore been named ”Skreien”.
Having a vacation to Hasvåg is good, so we expanded to two more apartments. ”Torsken” and ”Makrellen” both have an area of approx. 40 m², and have their own balcony. They are on the 2nd floor, with access to a large common room on the 1st floor. In total we have room for 16 people.
By the floating pier we have a gutting area with a roof, fresh water, a room for freezers and lockable shed for clothing and equipment. We rent out boats, and are happy to give tips on where to fish.
We are happy to suggest activities, and can also participate if guests wish so.
The hosts
Birgit Fossvik and Åge Hasvåg want to be good hosts for guests to Hasvåg Fritid. We live in the house closest to the pier at Hasvåg.

Birgit loves receiving guests and can speak both german and english.
Her background as a teacher and preschool teacher has given her experience in telling stories. You may like to ask her about local legends and fishing stories.

Åge
Åge has his wooden boat workshop by the pier. Where he builds and restores wooden boats, when he isn’t out taking on carpentry jobs.
Boat enthusiasts often gather at the workshop for a chat about techniques, lubrication, engines and everything that has to do with wooden boats in particular.
He has knowlege and tools/equipment even from generations before our time, and always likes to have a chat about it.
Since he knows the waters like his own pockets he knows most fishing spots and is always able to give a few tips for fishing.
